Bulgogi Brothers

Yesterday, the family and I traveled all the way to Subic for a small vacation. On our way to the hotel, we decided to stop by Harbor Point mall to have lunch at Bulgogi Brothers. It’s my first time stepping inside Harbor Point–The place is still relatively new, and I’m guessing that this place is quite popular with students.

Bulgogi Brothers has a really classy interior, with spiffy-looking waitresses and a TV that plays K-Pop videos. This branch in particular had a playground at the back of the restaurant… I thought it looked a bit out of place.

Our banchan consisted of corn, quail eggs, kimchi, and veggies.

Menu: Ala Carte (Hanbang suyok, haemul gungjung mandu, bulgogi burger, galbi jim, haemul pajeon), Barbecue (Bulgogi bros. special, unyang-style bulgogi, gwangyong style bulgogi) Rice & Noodles (Janchi guksu), Soups & Stews (Kimchi jjigae, jjigae brothers, yukgaejang, galbi tang), Drinks (Fruit shakes, specialty drinks, hot drinks, soju, makgeolli, wine).

Before…

… And after ^^

Seoul Style Bulgogi. The meat melts in your mouth, but I think there’s too much onion, and too little beef stock.

We had a glass of iced tea and a tall watermelon shake for our drinks, but we couldn’t finish it, since our waitress kept giving us complimentary cups of warm corn tea. She informed us that corn tea can reduce your chances of having diabetes, kidney failure, and decrease high blood pressure. Was not able to get a picture of the tea itself, unfortunately T_T

Okay, you have no idea how happy I was when my dad ordered bibimbap coz I’ve been having bibimbap cravings for the longest time now. Too bad we only shared one bowl, so I didn’t get to eat that much. I looooove it when my bibimbap gets served in a hot stone bowl, coz the rice at the bottom gets all toasted and crispy. ^^

Dubu steak. The tofu was coated with a sweet sauce, and its skin had a crisp texture too.

Everything was worth the price! The food was amazing and the staff was very attentive and took care of us well. I’ll come back so I can give their other dishes a try.

Bulgogi Brothers is located at Level 1, Harbor Point Mall, Rizal Highway, CBD Subic Bay Freeport Zone. Tel nos. (0905) 365-4826. You can also find them at Greenbelt 5, SM Mall of Asia, and Alabang Town Center.
